Tottenham vs Liverpool’s match started with full attacking forces. Curtis Jones and Diogo Jota both sent off with red cards and made The Reds finished the match with 9 men.

Gakpo does come off, and he’s replaced by Diogo Jota. Liverpool will be aware that they’re very much in this despite having one less man, especially on evidence of the end of the first half.

A second yellow for Diogo Jota and Liverpool are down to nine.

Surprisingly, Heung-Min Son is coming off. He is replaced by Manor Solomon, with Richarlison moving central.

Just before the sub, Jota was booked for a cynical challenge.

Spurs get the second half underway.

That’s a big save from Alisson. We were right behind Maddison’s strike in the press box, and it looked destined for the top corner. He made an equally decisive save against Newcastle at a vital time. Deja vu?

On the replays, Gakpo is clearly limping before and after scoring his goal. It’ll be interesting to see if he comes off, with Nunez and Jota waiting in the wings.

The replays of the Diaz goal that was given offside are interesting too – it certainly doesn’t look off.

Maddison has easily been man of the match so far, and he wins a free-kick in a decent position after being caught by Matip.

It is poorly worked and Liverpool break with Salah, but he ends up fouling Bissouma who had covered well. He’s been everywhere too.

Simon Hooper books Salah for his reaction to a foul on Bissouma.

The Liverpool attacker broke, lost the ball and won it back but the referee rules that there is a foul.

Salah fires the ball away in anger and is cautioned.

Son has the ball in the net again with a goal that was almost a carbon copy of the first (though Maddison’s ball for this one was even more impressive).

It is ruled out for offside though, as Richarlison had gone a second too early.
