The match between Bayern Munich & PSG started with full attacking forces.
Davies goes haring down the left but Hakimi brushes him off the ball. The board goes up for two added minutes. A blessed relief it’s not any more: both of these teams could do with the half-time whistle and some beneficial advice with a view to raising their game.
There goes the whistle to end the first half. PSG will feel a bit gutted after forcing Matthijs de Ligt to clear one off the line but Bayern Munich will be pleased with that 45 minutes.
They didn’t allow PSG to create many chances to score and the French side will have to open up more in the second half to break them down.

Sommer decides to go on a dribble in his box which is intercepted by Vitinha. The Portuguese thinks he’s scored but De Ligt is there to block off the line.
Ramos ships possession, allowing Davies to slither this way and that, into the PSG box from the left. Davies shoots low and hard.
The ball’s turned around the post for a corner, from which nothing comes. Chances at both ends, albeit not as a result of quality football.
Now Bayern get stuck in at the other end of the pitch. Alphonso Davies shifts his way into the penalty area and hits a low shot towards goal but, as they have done all night, PSG have men back to defend and make the block.
A slight suggestion that Sommer impeded Vitinha just before the shot went in on goal, but there wasn’t enough contact for either referee or VAR to be interested. To be fair, PSG didn’t exactly complain too much.
Yann Sommer is given the ball and attempts to run it out of his own box. Vitinha presses and takes over possession before guiding a shot towards goal.
It’s heading in but De Ligt flings himself at the ball and manages to lift it clear before it crosses the line. Wonderful last ditch defending.
